Gorilla

Gorilla is probably the most famous Class V rapid in Western North Carolina, and most definitely the most famous of the Green River. Even though I have only paddled for a few months, I have heard many tales and seen lots of videos of the infamous Gorilla. While Gorilla may not be the most dangerous or difficult of the Big Three on the Green it is the most visually impressive. The river funnels into a 4 foot slot and is immediately followed by an 15ft waterfall which lands you into a small corridor containing a small hydraulic hole. I have yet to see the full effect of Gorilla for my self but I will write a much better description when I see it for the first time, and hopefully one day run it.

This is a great view of Gorilla and a really nice perspective.
